Stefan Marks is founder, owner and managing director of Marks & Maxin Vermögensberatungs-gesellschaft mbH based close to Frankfurt (Main). He started his career in financial services with Commerzbank AG and set up his own financial services business in 1981. In 1994 he developed his client portfolio by offering wealth management to his clients and from 1998 until 2024 the German financial authority officially certified Marks & Maxin Vermögensberatungs-gesellschaft mbH as a financial services institution. In addition, Stefan Marks is also managing director of the insurance broker firm Marks & Maxin Versicherungsmakler GmbH based close to Frankfurt (Main) and in 1997 became the spokesperson of the lobbying group Fonds Select GbR.
